    1.  OVERVIEW

    The Professional Business Coaches Association of Canada is a non-profit organization which was created to bring together a community of independent professional business coaches across Canada so that we can collaborate, share resources, uphold the highest standards of business coaching and adhere to the PBCA code of ethics for the benefit of the profession and our clients. The association is dedicated to growing and improving the fundamental practices of coaching business owners and executives. 



    The PBCA Canada Business Coach Training and Certification Course (herein referred to as “The Canada PBCA Course”) is a five (5) day  training course that is designed to teach you (the "Participant") the fundamentals of business and leadership coaching using coaching tools created by PBCA and other organizations, marketing and selling your services, and running your own business. We will teach several different methods and practices for coaching and advising business owners for use in your coaching.

    3. Course Certificate

    Participants who complete the PBCA Canada Course will be recognized by PBCA Global and PBCA Canada as a "Certified Professional Business Coach (CPBC") confirming that the Participant has met the goals of the program and completed all program requisites. A Participant who has been awarded the Certification may list the qualification on stationery, websites, business cards and other materials in the following manner:  "(your name), Certified Professional Business Coach - Professional Business Coaches Association".  The PBCA logo may be used in Participants promotional material. It must include the word “MEMBER” (in all caps) beneath the PBCA logo.  This requirement is in place to prevent any confusion as to the relationship between the PBCA and the Participant / Participant Firm.

    4.  PBCA Directory

    PBCA maintains an online directory (the "PBCA Directory") of all Participants who have successfully completed the appropriate and minimum Training and Certification Requirements at or

    All Participants who successfully complete the PBCA Canada Course may be listed in the PBCA Directory.  The PBCA Directory is publicly accessible and lists contact information for Participants who have been awarded a Course Certificate.  By signing this Agreement, Participant agrees to be listed in both the PBCA Global and the PBCA Canada Directory.  If a Participant does not want to be listed, he or she needs to contact PBCA Canada and express this in writing.  The PBCA retains the right to remove any listing from the PBCA Directory at its discretion. 

    5.  FEE

    The agreed upon fee of $7,500.00 CDN is due prior to completion of the PBCA Canada Course.  A portion of this Training and Couse Fee ($500.00) will by put aside by PBCA Canada to cover the first year of Annual Membership of each Participant in this Professional Association.



    The parties to this Agreement are independent. No agency, partnership, joint venture, employee-employer or franchisee-franchisor relationship is intended or to be created by this Agreement.  Neither party shall have any right or authority to assume or create any obligations of any kind or to make any representation or warranty on behalf of the other party, whether express or implied, or the power to bind the other party in any respect whatsoever, other than as stated in this Agreement or in any other written agreement between the parties.  


    By entering into this Agreement, the Participant is not under any legal obligation to adhere to any standards or practices discussed, taught, or advised during the PBCA Canada Course and may use any materials provided by PBCA.  However, Participants are also expected to adhere to PBCA Canada Values and its Code of Ethics. Once Certified as a Professional Business Coach, the graduated Participant is free to use any information, tools, or resources provided by PBCA Global and PBCA Canada, in whole or in part, for the purpose of business and executive leadership coaching.

    The PBCA conducts training for individuals who desire to be independent business coaches and for PBCA member-firms.  You will be trained in a variety of different business coaching, selling, and marketing strategies, but you are free to use all, some, or none of what you learn.  The PBCA does not provide any exclusive or rigidly defined “system” for running your business or coaching your clients.  Instead, you will be trained in a variety of methods of business coaching, selling, and marketing strategies which have been developed or improved upon by PBCA Members of our Association at different times.  As independent Business and Leadership Coaches, we also welcome and encourage innovation and sharing of new coaching materials by all our Members.

    PBCA Global and PBCA Canada cannot make any guarantee or promise that they will ensure your financial success as a business coach.  Your success is completely dependent on YOU! Your level of success in attaining successful business results is dependent upon a number of factors including but not limited to your skill, knowledge, ability, dedication, business knowledge, business focus, business goals, partners, promotions, audience, and financial situation. PBCA Canada cannot guarantee your success, income level, sales results, client list, or ability to earn future revenue.  PBCA programs and PBCA membership is for educational use only. PBCA Global and PBCA Canada also makes no representation or absolute warranties with respect to the accuracy, applicability, or completeness of its contents.

    In no event shall PBCA Global or PBCA Canada be liable to you for matters or claims arising out of this Agreement, whether in contract, tort, or otherwise. In no event shall PBCA Canada or PBCA Global be liable to you for any special, indirect, consequential, incidental, or exemplary damages. (This includes, without limitation, no damages for loss of business, business profits, business interruption, loss of business information, and the like in such other technical areas, for example, web-site connectivity).

    Governing Law

    This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between the parties with regard to attending the PBCA Canada Training Course. It supersedes all prior agreements, understandings, and discussions between the parties regarding the subject matter hereof.  This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the British Columbia and Canada.  Venue and jurisdiction for any action with respect to this Agreement shall be in the provincial and federal courts located in British Columbia Canada

    By purchasing the training the  Participant agrees to be bound by the terms of this Agreement.
